Tenacious D has announced the return of Festival Supreme. The Festival is set to take place on Saturday, October 25 at LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles.
Festival Supreme is a music and comedy festival. The festival was put together by Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D. In its second year, Tenacious D has decided to hold the festival again after the success of the event last year. The spooky themed event has been a project in the making for Black and Gass. The duo, which is known for their “mock rock” performances, have been trying for years to create their own festival where they could bring various musical acts together with a comedic spin.
In an interview, Tenacious D reflected on the improvements between last year’s festival and what is expected for this year’s festival. Ringmasters Black and Gass said,”Yes, Festival Supreme was the comedy and music event of 2013…but we’ve improved it tenfold. Festival Supreme 2 (The Metal Years) will feature a dark carnival haunted house circus of death! A hilarious short film festival!! Improved plumbing!!! And a lineup of comedians and musicians that will shake the heavens!!!! We will leave all other comedy/music festivals crying in the dust. That’s a Tenacious D promise”. The 2013 lineup included Beardyman, Fred Armisen, and Zack Galifianakis.
