Get ready for 2014’s addition of NYC’s Electric Zoo Festival, a showcase of all sorts of established and up and coming dance music acts. Like last year, the festival will take place on Labor Day weekend at Randall’s Island Park, located along the East River between Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx.
Beginning with the inaugural 2009 festival, Electric Zoo has provided fans of dance music with incredible lineups for the past few years. Unfortunately, a pall was cast over last year’s Electric Zoo, when two visitors died of drug overdoses. The third day of the show was cancelled, and the festival’s producers gave their condolences to the families of the deceased, and fans were reimbursed by the festival for the cancelled day.
Barring any such tragedy happening this year, Electric Zoo should prove to be a nice way to spend a Labor Day weekend with lineup full of great electronic music talent like David Guetta and Knife Party returning for repeat-appearances.
