It’s a solid month of mayhem with Summer Slaughter. The US incarnation has been up and running for over seven years. In that time, bands such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, and perennial headliners Necrophagist have all come to play. Possibly reasoning that concentrating this much metal in one place might lead to serious property damage, Summer Slaughter follows a tour format, as a hand-picked lineup winds its way through the US.
This time around, you can expect to see Morbid Angel filling the top spot – with good reason. Morbid Angel is counted among the best death metal outfits ever spawned, and also contains some of the most unfairly talented musicians in existence. New Orleans black metal/death metal crew Goatwhore will also be in evidence, alongside Dying Fetus, the Faceless, Thy Art Is Murder, Origin, Decrepit Birth, Within The Ruins, and Fallujah.
