This song has bedroom eyes. Don’t ask us how, we know it’s a logical impossibility, but it totally does. Go listen to it, we feel like you’ll probably wind up believing us.

Before you go listen to that sultry song, let’s discuss the sultry songstress. Shana Halligan is best known as one half of Bitter:Sweet (we’re not entirely sure which), a trip-hop duo from Los Angeles whose work you’ve likely heard on at least one of your favorite TV shows. Besides that, Halligan has also gotten involved in some interesting collaborations, and has worked alongside System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian, as well as guitar maestro/chicken rights activist Buckethead.
The other member of her current project is producer and DJ Chuck Wild, best known for his work as Captain Planet, and for his remixes of material from Lorde, Little Dragon, and others. In any event, the new duo’s a solid one. “Get Gone”, seductive as it is, was definitely made with some less-than-tender memories in mind. As the band says:
“Whether it’s an ex who manipulated you, an oppressive job you had to quit, or a friend who stabbed you in the back… tell ’em Get Gone and move on up!”
Still doesn’t keep the song from being sexy as all get out.
