Robyn and Norwegian duo Röyksopp have long been extending their friendship into collaborations with one another, and their latest work has resulted in a new album, as well as an extended tour this summer. Luckily we’ve gotten our first full listen of Do It Again from the release of its title track, off BBC’s Annie Mac Show this weekend.
The collaboration album set for release May 26 will feature only five tracks, and a recent press release announced this mini-album is a prelude to an upcoming full-length. Robyn and Röyksopp have issued a snippet of another of the pending tracks, “Monument,” which can be previewed here.
Before introducing “Do It Again” on her radio program, Annie Mac revealed the song’s “inspiration came from a night out together” among Robyn and Röyksopp, and it’s almost certain there’ll be even more of that kind of inspiration between them down the road.
