The Black Keys have recently put out a new single, from the upcoming album Turn Blueand St. Vincent, following her own debut album release, is making the rounds at festivals like Austin City Limits, and now both have announced that they will be playing on SNL.
As detailed on Pitchfork, the Black Keys will be featured as musical guests on the May 10 episode of SNL, and St. Vincent will perform during the season’s finale on May 17. It will mark the rock duo’s third appearance on the show Both episodes should be worth watching, even if you only tune in for the music. Their newest album, Turn Blue (previewed here), is produced by Danger Mouse and will feature a mellower sound than previous Black Keys records.
Earlier this month, St. Vincent wooed audiences with her cover of “Lithium” by Nirvana, and now she’s taking her live act to the SNL stage. And back in February, she released a self-titled album on the 25th, after releasing the songs “Prince Johnny” and “Digital Witness” as previews, with the record garnering much critical acclaim.
