Included with the vinyl was a limited edition 7″ single of “Women of War,” an unreleased track. Following RSD, the Pixies took to their Twitter to announce the news to everybody, as well as offer the new song as a free download.

Pixies, a late addition to this year’s Coachella, just wrapped their performances at the fest on Saturday. Their weekend 1 set had included such songs as “Vamos” and “Where Is My Mind,” as well as new material from Indie Cindy.

The band’s appearance at the festival looks to be a highlight from their tumultuous last year, one that featured the departure of founding bassist Kim Deal, the firing of replacement Kim Shattuck, and hiring of touring bassist Paz Lenchantin. At least in that time, we’ve also gotten EP-2, as well as new song and video “What Goes Boom.”
