It’s true: Nick Oliveri and Queens of the Stone Age are together again, and you might say it’s been about 10 years coming. Oliveri joined his former group onstage to sing “You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire” during the band’s April 15th concert in Portland, Oregon.
Since Oliveri’s exile from the band back in 2004 due to his and lead vocalist Josh Homme’s inability to “maintain a working partnership,” the versatile and accomplished bassist has played with a number of other acts, from Melissa Auf Der Maur to Dean Ween, and most recently BL’AST and Moistboyz, in addition to a solo tour and album, titled Death Acoustic, in 2010. And although Oliveri has recorded with the Queens of the Stone Age as a vocalist since their split-up, this performance in Portland will mark the first time he’s joined them onstage in front of a live audience. Check out some footage of the concert below.
