Get out the White Russians and get ready for a fun act: Jeff Bridges is set to headline this year’s Lebowski Fest in Los Angeles, the annual festival that pays tribute to hit cult film “The Big Lebowski”.
The Coen Brothers movie, which has been out since 1998, has taken on a huge cult following among the people who value its wacky, dry humor the most. Jeff Bridges starred in the film with John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Fans have been gathering at the event since 2002, and other cities have even followed suit by hosting their own spinoff festivals each year. Fans can often be seen in costume, drinking White Russians, which in the movie is The Dude’s signature drink.
The event is happening at L.A.’s Wiltern Theater on April 25th, and the Kyle Gass Band will take the stage, to kick off the festivities before Bridges arrives. Tickets are just $35, and fans may even get the chance to catch a glimpse of the man behind the movie: Jeff “The Dude” Dowd. It’s a gathering that only fans of the flick can truly appreciate, and it’s a big year for the festival, with Bridges’ appearance. He has performed at the festival before, as you can see in the video below.
