No rest for Lykke Li. The Swedish artist has just pushed yet another new track off her upcoming album. “No Rest for the Wicked” is a slow-burning, ringing exercise, check it out below.
Li just seems to catch more attention every year – and for good reason. She first stormed the scene back in 2008 with Youth Novels. The album blew up across Scandinavia and greater Europe, and received critical hails from all quarters. Li’s breathy lyrics and stripped-down take on pop music have taken her far. Her songs have found their way onto video games, movies, and TV shows alike, and Li herself has collaborated with high-caliber artists, including Kanye West and Röyksopp. Her second effort, Wounded Rhymes also performed well.
And now she’s got another one coming out. I Never Learn is set to drop in May. She’s got more than one project lined up though – Li recently starred in and provided the soundtrack for “Tommy”, a Swedish crime film.
