Neil Young Confirms Collaboration with Jack White on Upcoming Album

Neil Young, 68 year-old rock legend, is releasing a new album. Jack White was rumored to be working on the album with him, yet those rumors were publicly denied on Facebook just few months ago. However, it has now been confirmed that Jack White will appear in two of the songs on his newest album.

The album, titled A Letter Home, will be released sometime this spring. Although Young had previously stated it would be coming out this March, he claims that it is just not ready for its release.

“It’s not ready for prime time yet,” Young explained to Billboard, “It’s not really a release yet, but it’s a very unique record. It’s like a time capsule. It doesn’t sound like anything you’ve heard that was made recently. And some great songs, some beautiful music.”

The album, recorded at White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, consists of multiple covers from Neil Young’s all-time favorite songwriters. This is an interesting experience for singer-songwriter, Young, who has had to recall the songs that virtually changed his life.

Neil Young is already planning his future projects as well. Hoping to next release an album with a strong live orchestra element, this guitar master is up for a big change. In fact, Young already has another album scheduled to come out later on this year. Special Deluxe will center on automobiles, and the effect they have had on society and the role they will continue to play in our world.
