Webcast: Watch Livestream of Third Man Records Party at SXSW

Third Man Records, Jack White’s independent record label based out of Nashville, is sharing the excitement of its three-day SXSW party with the world. The label has set up live stream of Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s events on its website, where viewers can take in all of this week’s TMR performances and DJ sets.


Third Man Records was created by artist Jack White in Detroit in 2001, but these days, it’s best known for its home base, venue and record store in downtown Nashville. The label has mostly dedicated itself to releasing tracks and albums on vinyl and in addition to putting out six albums by The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and Karen Elson have released albums via Third Man Records.

Most of the performances at Third Man Records’ SXSW party will take place at the Museum of Human Achievement in Austin. On location, people can take advantage of numerous prizes, a vinyl listening lounge and a mobile merchandise and record store that’s been traveling around downtown Austin all week.

On Thursday night, the Third Man Records party lineup includes Steve Gunn and The Haden Triplets. Friday’s show starts with Ex-Cult at 1 p.m. CT, ending with performances by Protomartyr and Des Unit. Natural Child, Blind Shake and Kelley Stoltz round out Saturday night’s show, with many more performances earlier in the day.
