Motorhead is hosting its first-ever cruise in September 2014 and it has been confirmed that the band will be joined by Megadeth, Anthrax, Zakk Wylde, Danko Jones, Fireball Ministry and Wilson.
Blabbermouth reports that the ship the cruise will be held on, the Carnival Ecstasy, recently underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment. Luxuries offered by the cruise ship include a tropical-themed pool area, numerous dining options, a 12,000-square-foot health club, a jogging track and 12 lounges, bars and recreational areas.
The cruise will begin on September 22 in Miami, Florida, and head to Key West and Cozumel. It will return on September 26. Tickets will go on sale at noon EST on Tuesday, March 18.
Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead says, “This will be everything you’ve come to expect from a night out with us, except even louder, with more great bands and no way of escaping!”
Adds Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, “Anthrax, Motorhead and Megadeth at sea??? To quote Chief Brody, ‘We’re gonna need a bigger boat.'”
