Lily Allen is back with her first album in five years, giving something of a shout out to Kanye West’s latest, in the making. Alas, Sheezus is set for release May 6th, so word remains out on comparisons to be made between the two.
Allen, now on her third album, has so far leaked videos for the new LP’s “Hard Out Here” and “Air Balloon.” Both videos are full of the sassy Brit-pop we know Allen to be, songs ripe with smart lyrics and hook-y rhythms.
Allen’s longtime producer Greg Kurstin (Tegan & Sara, P!nk) joined her on all but two of the new songs from Sheezus, while “Air Balloon” was produced by Shellback, and the title track by DJ Dahi.
