Normally I never go on a boat at SXSW. You’re stuck out there, and if something crazy is going on, well you can’t leave. But this event actually sounds quite appetizing to me. It features some German bands that you might not have heard of, but you will love them. The bill includes Mighty Oaks, who sound similar to cross between Mumford and Okkervil River, Roosevelt, who’s hit single Elliot has been buzzing on the blogs, and Claire, a new wave German pop band filled with electronica. Take a listen to them because I guarantee you’ll like at least one… and there is a fully stocked bar on the boat. With beer… and wine. Yeah wine. We’re classy now.
