After launching two break-up records, La Sera is back and this time no tears are involved; “Hour of The Dawn” promises to bring all the power the former ‘Vivian Girl’ has within.
Singer Katy Goodman has announced May 13/2014 as the chosen date for the release of her third record as a solo artists. Recorded during summer 2013 in Los Angeles, the new album titled “Hour of The Dawn” promises a “collision of unleashed punk and 80’s power-pop”; something that seems more on the Vivian Girls side than on past La Sera’s records. “Hour of The Dawn”, as its title suggests, comes as a rebirth of La Sera and Goodman herself, not just the music seems to have gone on a more full-speed-ahead direction (with new band members included) but the fact that just a month ago brooklyn trio Vivian Girls announced their official split up and final concerts makes this release look as a new era for La Sera.
