Ringo Deathstarr Announce New Album God’s Dream for March 2014 Release

Austin’s Ringo Deathstarr kicked off a national tour in their hometown last week, and will be releasing their next EP, God’s Dream, after they wrap it up. Fittingly, the tour ends when they return to Austin for the 2014 SXSW festival.

The alt-rock trio, which claims influence from such acts as The Velvet Undergound and Fugazi, now have two full-lengths and a number of EPs and singles under their belt. For God’s Dream they’ve brought on Swervedriver’s Adam Franklin for new track “Nowhere,” as well as Smashing Pumpkins’ Jeff Schroeder for “Chain Saw Morning.”

The complete 12-inch, off Neon Sigh/Noyes Records, is set for release March 25th, and the first 100 copies will be pressed in a mint/magenta coloring. 400 transparent records will then be made available at Ringo Deathstarr’s tour stops, and the complete EP will be available digitally.

Before perusing the band’s tour schedule, below, take a look at the recap from their 2013 SXSW performance here.
