British legend Morrissey has just announced some upcoming Spring tour dates. 24 US venues are set to play host to Morrissey, who has had some recent cancellation problems. Fingers crossed this one goes a little more smoothly, dates below.
When he’s not busy denouncing meat-eaters, getting himself in trouble for politically charged comments, or writing, Morrissey does actually play music. Very well, at that – he’s widely regarded as one of the most important indie-rock luminaries to walk the earth. Though we couldn’t write this post without mentioning his autobiography, which earned itself the funniest hatchet job review we’ve seen in a long time.
Morrissey got his start with famed British alt-rock outfit the Smiths. When the band split in the late 80’s, Morrissey struck out on his own and struck hard. Very few people (barring Brazilian soccer players) can claim to be known by just one name, and Morrissey has earned his renown. Known for his bitingly humorous lyrics, and his outspoken nature, he’s one of the industry’s sure larger-than-life characters.
And now he’s set to come tour. 24 dates, with Tom Jones joining him at one venue, Sir Cliff Richard at another. Full dates below.
