The sweetlife Music + Food Festival, which will take place on Saturday, May 10, has announced its 2014 lineup. The list includes headliners like Lana del Rey and Foster the People.
This marks the fifth annual sweetlife Festival, which was created by East Coast, organic, farm-to-table salad shop sweetgreen. It will be hosted at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland this year. As a celebration of both music and food, there will be food trucks, local restaurants and chefs, purveyors and farmers providing menu options while festival-goers enjoy tunes.
The festival aims to promote good living, health and well-being, and community and sustainability. It is also a carbon-neutral event that leaves a low carbon footprint, and encourages attendees to do the same. Proceeds from sweetlife support “sweetgreen in schools,” an educational program designed by the creators of sweetgreen and sweetlife. The program introduces children to the benefits of nutrition and teaches them the impact of food choices through hands-on activities.
