The Baseball Project Announce New Album 3rd for March 2014 Release and Appearance at SXSW 2014

Compilation band, The Baseball Project, are releasing their new album 3rd on March 25th. 3rd will feature baseball themes including: Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Lenny Dykstra and Dock Ellis.

The Baseball Project, founded in 2007, is composed of a collection of members from R.E.M., Young Fresh Fellows, The Dream Syndicate, and Zuzu’s Petals. The five members are: Scott McCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows, R.E.M.), Linda Pitmon (Zuzu Petals, Steve Wynn), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Mike Mills (R.E.M.) and Steve Wynn. Scott and Steve founded the band and have accumulated the talent around them to make the complete band they are today. The have a classic feel good sound with harmonized guitar and vocals. The new album will be highlighted by a showcase performance this summer at SXSW.
