The Nashville-bred, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter continues her conquest in seducing and follows the nymphomaniac “Desire” with a new song about the confession and regret of the next morning.
Former Jehovah’s Witness Meg Myers is an American vocalist and songwriter from Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains. Myers’ debut EP, Daughter In The Choir was noticed because it combines elements of modern pop with angst and rawness. Ever since she was often compared with Fiona Apple, Patti Smith, and Cat Power for her fierce presence. In an interview with mxdwn, she talked about her childhood as Jehovah’s Witness and her experience with music. She played at Rickshaw Stop on July 11th.
She is currently working on her second EP Make a Shadow. The first single “Desire” was especially sensual as she seethes: “Baby, I want to fuck you / I want to feel you in my bones.” The new song “The Morning After” tries to capture the regrets of the adventure. Both songs will be featured on her EP Make a Shadow, out February 11 via Atlantic Records.
