Formed in 1986, the Louisville band has transformed the sound of a generation for almost three decades. After their first and second releases “Tweez” (1989) and “Spiderland” (1991) Slint shaped the sound of what’s frequently called Post-Rock. Shortly before releasing “Spiderland” Slint broke up and their members became part of different musical projects, Tortoise, the Breeders, Palace, The For Carnation, Papa M, Evergreen.. oh and Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, ring a bell?

In 2005 Slint reunited after two decades to perform in the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in Camber Sands, England. followed by an eighteen date tour, in 2007 they performed a series of European shows as well as Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and in 2013 the iconic band co-headlined the final All Tomorrow’s Parties weekend. . The band prepares to perform as part of the amazing line-up of this year’s Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona alongside titans Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Arcade Fire among others.
