We’ve got a new album, and we’ve got some new tour dates. Some of the best artists in the game are converging on Piñata, the much-hyped collaboration between Freddie Gibbs and producer Madlib. Oh yeah – we’ve got a new song for you too. Check below for all the updates.
Known for his technical ability, Freddie Gibbs has been slowly building his name these past few years. Recent high-profile collaborations and a spot on GTA V have helped bump Gibbs further into the limelight, a trend that his upcoming work with Madlib should only continue. Madlib, known under just about any pseudonym you’d care to name. He’s also worked with a wide spread of artists, counting names like MF DOOM among his collaborators.
And now they’re set to drop an album together. We’ve seen bits and pieces of it slowly filtering onto the net. Check out the music video for “Thuggin” – showcased are Gibbs’ characteristically slick flow and an accompanying video that’s exactly what the title would suggest.
