The Pretty Reckless will release their sophomore album, Going to Hell on March 18, 2014.

For readers aware of the band’s music, the change of direction is immediately noticeable. While the initial album had a darker, grungier feel that worked well with singer Taylor Momsen’s smoky vocals, indicative of bands like The Stone Temple Pilots or Soundgarden. This new effort takes a different approach, having something in common with such acts as Buckcherry, or for you geezers like me out there, early Motley Crew or Kiss. The themes, much like those used by Marilyn Manson are presented on friendlier, less angry terms. The band has offered 4 tracks for preview, these are; “Going to Hell”, “Follow me Down”, “Burn”, and “Heaven Knows”. A personal fav is “Follow me Down”, which resembles, to a greater degree, their earlier work.
