New Orleans Jazz Festival Announces 2014 Lineup Featuring Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes and More

Festival season is just about upon us and the New Orleans Jazz Festival is definitely not one to be overlooked in the swarm of musical binge weekends. April 25 – 27 and May 1 – 4 are the days to block off in your calendars, because not one of the day’s lineups is to be repeated. To reiterate, seven days worth of music with no repeats.

Unlike Austin City Limits and the impending Coachella spectacular, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival does not consist of twin weekends with mirror lineups, each day is unique. Aside from the crowd-drawing headliners, (this year to include Public Enemy, Chaka Khan, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Eric Clapton, Phish, Robert Plant, Vampire Weekend, Christina Aguilera and Charlie Wilson) the vast majority of the festivals acts are local, hailing from the south Louisiana area. Confirming your favorite act’s presence this year will be veritable Where’s Waldo-level search amongst a sea of attention-worthy acts (although SHIFT-f is always an option as well). Either way, have fun navigating this year’s lineup. And don’t forget your tickets.
