Efterklang Announce Their Final Show

Indie rock group Efterklang plans to play their final show on February 26 in their hometown of Als, Denmark.

Though the band only formed in December 2000, they have released four studio albums and gone on several live tours. Efterklang’s first record, Tripper, was only released a decade ago in 2004. Their latest full-length album was Piramida in 2012.

At their performance in February, they will be joined by local symphony Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, as well as the local girls’ choir and former band members Thomas Husmer and Rune Mølgaard. They will play highlights from Piramida and its predecessor, 2010’s Magic Chairs, and perform some previously unheard tracks.

it will be the last concert with Efterklang as you and we know it. We are not sure what happens after this concert. It is time to reflect and time to move forward. We want to fundamentally change what it means to be Efterklang and how we operate, create and perform.

Over the course of Efterklang’s history, they have collaborated on Blitzen Trapper’s 2010 LP Destroyer of the Void, made film with French filmmaker Vincent Moon, and became part of the Polyvinyl Single Series for 2014.
