There’s new Dead Weather material out there, though currently only in vinyl form. January 14 will be the day that the two new songs become available digitally.
Third Man Records recently included the two new songs as a part of the last “The Vault” release of the year on yellow jacket 7″ vinyl. The A-side of the release features “Open Up (That’s Enough)” and the flip-side is home to “Rough Detective”, two songs in a planned series of singles releases that are to lead up to the next Dead Weather full-length which is planned for 2015. “Open Up (That’s Enough)” and “Rough Detective” become available through iTunes and other digital retailers January 15.
In the meantime, we also have a new solo album from Jack White to look forward to, which he says that he is currently in the process of finishing up. For some immediate Jack White goodness, check out the recent performance in Nashville where he and Brendan Benson played a couple of Raconteurs songs together.
