Heavy-metal bikers Black Label Society are getting set for another release. Awesomely named Catacombs of the Black Vatican is due to drop this April.
Formed in the late 90s by Zakk Wylde, the Black Label Society has long been a force in heavy metal. Wylde in particular tends to draw attention; the man is among the most respected guitarists on the scene, and for good reason. He spent twenty years working with Ozzy Osborne. He also had a recent spell alongside William Shatner, diverse company, to say the least.
In any event, the band’s back in the studio after a monster year – one that saw them play alongside Megadeth in the 2013 Gigantour. Catacombs is their first release since 2009, and looks to a return to dramatic, conquering form. Check below for the trailer. Game of Thrones fans should experience some cognitive dissonance at the sight of a mustachioed guitar goon wandering around what looks like a set from the show’s next season.
