Rock Werchter is back. A longtime lure of famous musicians, the festival has gone all out – again. Superstars are converging, among them Metallica, Pearl Jam, the Black Keys, and The Arctic Monkeys. Is there more? Hell yes, there’s more, read on.
A five-time winner of the Arthur Award for best festival in the world, Werchter is consistently among the largest lollapaloozas Europe has to offer, competing with legendary bashes like the Glastonbury Festival. It’s been around since 1974, and just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. But they’ve managed to outdo themselves for 2014.
Metallica will be in, continuing their hugely popular Metallica by request format. Not only that, but the Arctic Monkeys are making an appearance – and the band’s on a hot streak. AM, their most recent album, has been hugely successful, even winning itself a place on our top three albums of 2013. Grunge heroes Pearl Jam will also be in, as well as the Pixies, joined by touring bassist and A Perfect Circle alum Paz Lenchantin. Full list of bands and ticket link below.
