All aboard the Skyship – the Treefort Music Fest has announced its first wave of artists. Run the Jewels, The Joy Formidable, and Built to Spill are among a long list of newly confirmed bands. Check below for the full list, and watch the festival’s promo video if the skyship bit confused you.
Ever had a burning desire to get yourself over to Idaho? Can’t say we have either, but Treefort might change that. The festival’s only been around for 3 years, but it gets more formidable with each repetition. Designed as a little brother to the enormous SXSW festival in Austin, Treefort has flagged down caliber musicians like of Montreal and Foxygen, and also pulls in enormous amounts of upcoming and local talent.
This year’s festival includes college-rock veterans Built to Spill, hip-hop duo Run the Jewels, and Welsh alt-rockers the Joy Formidable. A new concert focus for 2014 has been going green. Appropriate, given the name. Attendees should expect some awesome music, incredibly awesome outdoor camping, and unhealthy amounts of drinking.
