After a sensational debut album, American Thighs, featuring hit song “Seether”, and a hiatus, Veruca Salt saw the departure of one of its founding members, co-frontperson Nina Gordon. Louise Post and the rest of the band carried on without Nina Gordon. This March, the band posted on Facebook that: “for now let’s just say this: hatchets buried, axes exhumed,” announcing the return of Nina Gordon.
With the return of Gordon, the band has started working on new materials, which will end up in their new album, with producer Brad Wood. The band will play their first reunion show in Los Angeles on December 18, as part of the nationwide event Second City’s 2013 24-Hour Improv & Music Benefits, which also features St. Vincent, Bob Mould, Jeff Tweed, and Fred Armisen.
