Beach House and Vocalists From Fleet Foxes, The Walkmen, Grizzly Bear and Wye Oak to Perform Gene Clark’s No Other On Short Tour

Members of several bands will be getting together in late January to perform the Gene Clark album No Other.

Clark was a founding member of the popular and influential 1960s band The Byrds and released numerous solo works in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. His album No Other is considered a classic by many, though it received criticism after its 1974 release due to its polished, studio-heavy sound. It will be played note-for-note, from beginning to end, on a miniature tour from January 22 to January 25 by members of numerous groups.

The vocals will be provided by Victoria Legrand of Beach House, Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, Hamilton Leithauser of The Walkmen, Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear, Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes and Iain Matthew of Fairport Convention and Plainsong. The band will be made up of lead guitarist Steve Strohmeier of Beach House, acoustic lead Walker Terret of Lower Dens and Celebration, acoustic two Geoff Graham of Lower Dens and 13 Falls, bassist Alex Scally of Beach House, pianist Dominic Matar of Carloman, drummer Mike Lowry of Mt. Royal and Sean Antanaitis of Celebration will handle organ/synths/guitar.

Tickets for the tour can be purchased through this Beach House website.
