It’s been three years since Elizabeth & The Catapult gave us their last album, The Other Side of Zero, but lead singer Elizabeth Ziman has definitely kept busy since and is now bringing much new music to us in 2014.
Ziman planned to work on the first new album, Like It Never Happened, with The Shins’ Richard Swift, who has also produced work by Foxygen and Damien Jurado. Things changed after she started working with former bandmates Dan Molad and Peter Lalish again, however, and under the production of Molad and Lalish, the new album is set for release in January 2014. Ziman’s work with Swift will also be released in the later part of next year.
The recent announcement of Elizabeth & The Catapult joining the 2014 SXSW roster adds to the excitement generated by their tour that began tonight in NYC. See below for the rest of the shows they’ve got lined up for the near future:
