Polyvinyl Records is currently accepting subscriptions to their 4-track singles series which will deliver a 7″ of exclusive music to your door for every month of the year 2014.
Polyvinyl sent a 4-track cassette recorder to twelve different artists, asking them to record anything they wished whether it be new songs, covers of standards or even new renditions of old material. The assembled recordings will be released monthly to subscribers in both the 7″ physical format and in the form of codes for digital downloads. Each month’s release will include two unreleased recordings and jacket art done by esteemed artist Jason Munn. The total number of subscriptions is capped at 500, with a total cost of $120, and distribution will begin January 2014. Interested parties need only subscribe on Polyvinyl’s website.
