LISTEN: A Perfect Circle Performs The Cure/Ozzy Osbourne Mashup Cover Entitled “Diary of A Madman Lovesong”

More new material from A Perfect Circle – and this one’s a little different. The legendary alternative metal crew has released a 15-minute mashup of “Diary of a Madman” by Ozzy Osbourne and “Lovesong” by The Cure. It’s just the latest in a series of teasers the band has been dropping prior to the upcoming release of a career-spanning big-box album.

It’s a great month for fans of A Perfect Circle. They went almost ten years without releasing any new material and then – “By and Down” streamed. And if that wasn’t enough, the band put word out about two retrospective albums. The first, greatest hits collection titled THREE SIXTY just dropped a couple of days ago. A box-set, A Perfect Circle: Featuring Stone and Echo is poised to come out on November 26th, and will probably be responsible for at least a couple Black Friday tramplings.

Fans of frontman Maynard James Keenan should also be excited. Rumors surrounding a new “epic” song from Tool have been swirling, it’s apparently almost complete, and only awaits Keenan’s vocals. Also, exciting news from around mxdwn recently broke with our premiere of “Passive” off the big box album.

Check the new mashup on Spin.
