Infectious Grooves will play with most of the original lineup, as well as a few solid additions, January 31st at Whiskey a Go Go in LA.
The lineup will look familiar to those who have seen them recently, and will consist of original members Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies, Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Stephen Perkins of Jane’s Addiction, Dean Pleasants of Suicidal Tendencies), as well as special guest Jim Martin who is a former Faith No More member and will be filling in for guitarist Adam Siegel.
Trujillo told Billboard that there is a possibility of Infectious Grooves playing more live shows in the future, their last one having been in June at the Orien Music + More Festival:
“I’d love potentially for there to be at least an L.A. show, ’cause that’s where we started,” he said. “It always seemed like we had a strong fan base on the West Coast, and the other spot where the band was ridiculously popular, believe it or not, was in France. I always think of it like this; if there’s a demand, we’ll find a way to do it. And it seems like at least the band is going to be rehearsed and ready to go. We had a rehearsal and it sounded awesome. So as long as it doesn’t take away from METALLICA or anyone else’s other priority bands, anything’s possible.”
