With indie record label Mexican Summer celebrating 5 years of incredible music production, Autre Ne Veut decided to present himself and electronic composer Christian Fennesz to the label for consideration of inclusion in their anniversary album. Just like that, an explosive ballad was born.
Autre Ne Veut met with his musical partner at Fennesz’ studio in Vienna to create “Alive,” and two days of collaborating provided Mexican Summer: Five Years, set for release tomorrow, with an epic track, to say the least. The album is packed with indie goodness, as Mexican Summer now has over 100 releases to its name – bands such as Best Coast, Kurt Vile and Washed Out round out the star-studded LP.
