Throwing Muses have released a new (supremely content heavy) music video for their song “sunray venus”.
Throwing Muses’ upcoming album, Purgatory/Paradise, is to be the Rhode Islanders’ first release of new music in ten years. As seeming recompense for their absence, this album will include a book designed by drummer Dave Narcizoof and full of lyrics, photography and musings by frontwoman Kristin Hersh.
“sunray venus” lives up to the Throwing Muses legacy and delivers. The accompanying music video is chocked full of layered images and labels which further emphasize and develop the lyrics of the song, leaving one a little unsure as to what exactly is going on (in a good way, of course).
