Dam-Funk has continued his collaboration with Bleep Labs, and the two are just about ready to release their latest creation.
Weighing in at just under two pounds, this handheld 9-Volt battery-powered beat machine picks up where the Dam Drum 2 left off. Though this drum machine has four new tones, it still retains the intuitive design of previous versions with two potentiometer knobs to control pitch and one button each to control tempo, recording, reversing and play-back. The Dam Drum 3 will also be the first in the Dam Drum series to have MIDI input, further increasing its versatility. This compact yet potent drum machine and sequencer is available for pre-order on Stones Throw’s site for $110 and is scheduled to ship November 26th.
Dam-Funk’s work with Bleep Labs is just one of his recent collaborations; be sure to also check out the album he recorded with Steve Arrington, as well as his upcoming project with Snoopzilla.
