Chris Cornell and The Avett Brothers were featured on Jimmy Fallon performing a stripped down version of “Footsteps,” as part of the show’s Pearl Jam week. Jimmy Fallon is hosting a week of Pearl Jam, featuring tributes by various musicians, including Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes and the show’s own featured band The Roots, as well as the 90s rock band themselves. The week is just in time for Pearl Jam’s release of their album, Lightning Bolt. This isn’t the first time Chris Cornell and The Avett Brothers have combined – they recently collaborated on the song “Vanity.” Footsteps is hauntingly beautiful with a harmonica and slow strumming.
