Listen: Stream The Flaming Lips New Peace Sword EP Inspired By The Film Ender’s Game

Technicolor sapce-rockers The Flaming Lips premiered all six tracks from their upcoming Peace Sword EP via a handful of online music outlets this morning.

2013 marks The Lips’ 30th year as a band and the Oklahoma boys are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. In the last few months alone they’ve rocked out on TV with the Plastic Ono Band, published comic book, and are set to play the Greek Theatre with Tame Impala next week. Oh, and they’re also about to drop a new EP.

The six songs on Peace Bone are inspired by the book/upcoming sci-fi movie Ender’s Game. The title track, “Peace Sword (Open Your Heart),” was actually made for the film, while the rest are simply inspired by it. The tracks premiered at Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and a handful of other websites at 10am sharp this morning, but we have them all here for you to check out:

“Peace Sword (Open Your Heart)”

“Is The Black At The End Good”

“Think Like A Machine, Not A Boy”

“Wolf Children”

“Assassin Beetle – The Dream Is Ending”

“If They Move Shoot Em” (unfortunately not embeddable, just follow the link)

Peace Sword is available digitally October 29th, just in time for Ender’s Game’s November 1st release. A CD and limited edition vinyl will be available on Record Store Day (November 29th).
