The organization Record Store Day finally has the list of this year’s Back to Black Friday releases, which will be available on November 29 in participating indie record stores in North America.
Back To Black Friday is a collective release date for special and exclusive products from artists, designed to then be available throughout the holiday shopping season. There are many releases scheduled for the November 29 event, available on various formats.
Duran Duran will be re-releasing No Ordinary EP, which was originally a limited promotional cassette and will now be available on 10″ white vinyl. The album features “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Come Undone” and “Notorious,” all performed live at the now-defunct Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard in 1993.
The Doors will drop The Doors – Curated By Record Store Day, which will contain rare original mono versions of four classic tracks on one side and four live performance tracks on the other side. This release stands out because it will be limited to 7,500 copies. There will also be two versions of the album artwork, each with handwritten track lists from the surviving band members, Robby Krieger and John Densmore.
A limited-edition 10-inch picture disc from Rush entitled The Garden will also be released on Back to Black Friday. It features the studio version of the title track and a live recording in which the band performs with the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble.
