Jimmy Kimmel’s had some pretty interesting guests of late. It’s not often that the Arctic Monkeys have to fight for stage space, but when Kanye West is in the building…well. No such drama when Sleigh Bells showed up, fortunately.

Not that there weren’t some unexpected quirks. Sleigh Bells have made their name as a duo, something reflected in the band’s personality and their distinctive, punchy sound. So it was a little odd to see them get so much help on stage. A full backup band showed up behind Miller and Krause. The band ripped their way through “Tiger Kit” and “Bitter Rivals”, the title track to their most recent album, which dropped only a few days ago on Mom + Pop Music. They’re keeping busy, and you can definitely expect some more supporting performances in the near future. They’ve also covered a Phoenix track because, hey, why not?
