Alternative rock band AFI premiered the streaming of a new song, “No Resurrection,” today on Soundcloud.
AFI has not released an album in over four years, but their latest, Burials, is out October 22. It was originally announced for a September release, but the later date has not stopped them from sharing new music anyway. Back in July, they released the stream of single titled “I Hope You Suffer,” which gave fans a sneak peek at what’s in store for the band’s ninth studio album.
Vocalist Davey Havok told Rolling Stone, “During the writing sessions, there was a lot of chaos in my life.”
About the new single, Havok said, “It was a real struggle. We revisited the chorus several times; we could not abandon it. We felt the haunting song was important.” You can listen to “No Resurrection” on Soundcloud below:
