Following their extended reunion tour, influential 90s Emo band Texas is the Reason has disbanded for good, leaving behind video of three full performances to bring firm closure to their long history.
It’s a bittersweet sayonara for the much-loved band from New York City, who during the reunion reissued 2006’s Do You Know Who You Are? as a complete discography including their self-titled EP and two lost tracks. Their new live performance videos represent the three emotional stages of their final tour.
To celebrate this achievement and to mark the end of this amazing chance to end the band on our own terms, we leave this document over three full-length concert films. Captured by Sunny Singh of Hate5Six Productions, these three shows depict the anxious start, the all-cylinders-firing middle, and the introspective end of our banding and disbanding process — the imperfect perfection and the perfect imperfection of it all.
They add a sentimental cast off:
This year has been an incredible one, and we are nothing but grateful for the opportunity that was given to us to walk among you for one last waltz.
The three concert videos can be viewed in their entirety via the Texas is the Reason website.
