Funny Or Die has premiered the music video for J Mascis and Sharon Van Etten’s cover of John Denver’s classic “Prisoners.”

Dinosaur Jr. singer/guitarist J Mascis and Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten recorded cover of John Denver’s “Prisoners” for a tribute album released back in April. The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver includes this song from Mascis and Van Etten along with tracks from Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews and many more.
The “Prisoners” video features Jon Wurster (Superchunk) as a hilarious Denver lookalike alongside Aimee Mann and some mischievous puppets. Check it out below:
