Third Man Records Announce New Songs “Open Up (That’s Enough)” and “Rough Detective” from The Dead Weather To Be Released on 7″ Single

Jack White’s Third Man Records is releasing two new singles from The Dead Weather on 7″ vinyl as the last “Vault package” of 2013.

The Dead Weather, side project of White along with Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (Reconteurs), are breaking their extended silence with two new singles, “Open Up (That’s Enough)” and “Rough Detective.” It’s beena few years since we’ve heard any new material, the last being their 2010 sophomore LP Sea of Cowards.

Third Man is known for their rare and limited edition releases, so it comes as no surprise that the new tracks will be released on printed yellow jacket 7″ vinyl with deluxe pocket sleeve as part of Third Man’s “The Vault” quarterly series. It will be the last Vault release of the year. The Dead Weather will continue to produce 2 song sets until 2015 when they will release an LP that includes all of the singles as well as additional album exclusive tracks.

Subscriptions for The Vault (yes, you must have a subscription to receive a copy of the 7″) are available here. In addition to the Dead Weather tracks, subscribers will get a live CD and DVD from country rockers The Raconteurs. Check out a clip from the Dead Weather’s “Open Up (That’s Enough)” below.
