Seriously though, move over Manilow. It’s not rare for a musician to ask you to sleep with him but Dave 1 is just so damn…respectful about it. “Over Your Shoulder” was written as an “ode to feminine self confidence and empowerment”, and it is – this may be the only song to ever pull off a line like “I want to be in the intersection of your thighs” with anything even approaching class.
Good news for anyone who likes the new song: there’s more to come. Upcoming LP White Women is gearing up, and we’re sure to see more of it in coming days.
