WATCH: Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare 2013 Trailer

Rob Zombie is giving fans a chance to interact in the flesh with his extreme brand of horror this Halloween at his Great American Nightmare music and horror event just outside of Los Angeles in Pomona, CA.

The hard rocker turned filmmaker is now testing the waters with an interactive production this Halloween season. Beginning on October 10th, the Great American Nightmare will take over Pomona’s FEARPlex every Thursday-Sunday until the grande finale on November 2nd for 15 nights of music and horror.

The 150,000 square foot venue will host three separate and unique haunted houses: Lords of Salem in Total Black Out, based on Zombie’s 2012 film Lords of Salem, will be an experiment with limitation of the senses (sight, sound, etc.). The Haunted House of El Superbeasto 3D, based on his 2009 animated exploitation flick El Superbeasto, will be a goofy and campy experience complete with 3D glasses. The third, Haunt of 1,000 Corpses, will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of House of 1,000 Corpses’ release, and will be the most like a traditional haunted house.

In addition to being a celebration of horror, the Great American Nightmare is also a music festival. Thursday nights will be dedicated to rock and alternative music, Fridays will feature EDM, hard rock and metal is on Saturdays and Latin on Sundays. The massive lineup for the 15 days includes Andrew W.K., Eagles of Death Metal, Duane Peters, and old-school punks 45 Grave and TSOL. As a special treat, one night (which one it is has yet to be announced) will showcase the pro-wrestling shenanigans of Lucha Libre USA. Rob Zombie himself will perform at the event’s grande finale on November 2nd.

Be warned now, this extravaganza is not for children or the easily disturbed, so leave the young (and old) ones at home. Visit the event site for more details and updates, and check out the teaser trailer below.
