Montreal indie royalty Arcade Fire have released a short video in promotion of their upcoming album Reflektor. Clocking in at a short 40 seconds, it’s the first time we’ve heard any hint of new music from the LP.
Reflektor, the Grammy winning band’s highly anticipated fourth album and followup to 2010’s The Suburbs, is due out in late October of this year. Until now the only news we’ve had in regards to it came in the form of some vague street art and a September 9th date for what is rumored to be the release of the first single. In the short teaser video below, the influence of producer James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) is apparent in the percussion portion of the music sample.
Reflektor is out October 29th via Merge Records, and the band will also be providing the score for Spike Jonze’s latest film, Her, which comes out in November. For more news and updates, visit Arcade Fire’s official site.
